A friend of mine asks, "If a deity doesn't perform a
miracle in a forest when there aren't any believers present, does it still
require doubt about the existence of a higher power to be an agnostic?"
Response from SkepticX:
As if that weren't obvious. I mean, just look around
you, the evidence is everywhere!

As a self-proclaimed athiest living in a small christian
town in Kansas, it is encouraging to be able to contact other people with
similar beliefs at the touch of keyboard. The town in which I live judges
you by whether or not you are a loyal christian. Needless to say it is
very difficult to express myself without being persecuted for that sole
reason. I do what I can in my little community to encourage free speech
and expression, among young people especially. Yet I can only do so much.
Hopefully now that my town has an internet provider, maybe the people in
my similar position can finally communicate with each other because of
web-sites such as this one. I appreciate the time spent making this sort
of web-site, to me, it is my only means of contact! Keep up the good work!
